local-search
Local browser API for AI agents to search, read pages, and use signed-in sites
Visit lsearch.dev ↗What is local-search?
local-search is a CLI tool that connects AI agents to a browser on your machine, letting them search the web, read pages, and interact with sites you're already signed into. Built with Rust, it works with your existing Chrome profile or a separate agent-only profile—you control which one and approve each action through your browser.
Designed for developers using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other AI coding tools, it returns compact JSON results with lower token overhead than hosted search APIs. No API keys, no metering, no data sent to external servers.
