LibPDF
Modern TypeScript library for parsing, modifying, and generating PDFs
Visit libpdf.dev ↗What is LibPDF?
LibPDF is a TypeScript-first PDF library that combines parsing, modification, and generation in a single tool. It handles encrypted documents, digital signatures with incremental saves that preserve them, form filling, text extraction, and document merging. The library was built using Claude Code and is used in production at Documenso.
Designed for developers who need to add PDF functionality quickly, LibPDF offers an intuitive API inspired by pdf-lib while maintaining lenient parsing like pdf.js. It supports AES-256 encryption, PAdES digital signatures, TrueType font embedding, and can gracefully handle malformed PDFs that other libraries reject.
