kkRepo is a community-driven, open-source artifact repository manager designed for modern software delivery. It supports Maven, npm, PyPI, Go, Helm, Docker, Cargo, and 14+ other package ecosystems across hosted, proxy, and group repository types. The project describes itself as a drop-in replacement for Sonatype Nexus, enabling one-click migration while preserving existing repository URLs and client configurations.
Built with AOT compilation capabilities, kkRepo starts in about one second and uses under 200 MB memory. It includes artifact security scanning with SBOM generation, comprehensive cleanup policies, LDAP and OIDC authentication, fine-grained permissions, Prometheus metrics, and support for MySQL, PostgreSQL, S3, and OSS storage backends.
