KiwiFS
Markdown filesystem for agents and teams. Searchable, structured, versioned.
Visit docs.kiwifs.com ↗What is KiwiFS?
KiwiFS is a single-binary markdown filesystem that makes plain .md files searchable, queryable, and versioned while preserving them as the source of truth. It's designed for agents and developers who need database-like capabilities without proprietary formats or lock-in. The system provides full-text and vector search via SQLite FTS5, git-based versioning with complete history tracking, and a query language for metadata.
Access happens through multiple protocols: REST, MCP (Model Context Protocol), NFS, S3, WebDAV, and FUSE. A built-in web UI offers wiki links, knowledge graphs, markdown editing, and dark mode. The project includes 62 MCP tools for Claude and other clients, 19 data importers from databases and services like Notion, and can be deployed as a single Go binary with zero configuration or via Docker.
