Visit kairoreader.com ↗What is Kairo?
Kairo is a free Android app for reading ebooks and documents with a focus on intentional reading and speed control. It supports EPUB, PDF, DOCX and other formats, offering three reading modes: a traditional scrollable reader, adaptive RSVP (rapid serial visual presentation) that displays one word at a time with intelligent pacing, and Bionic Reading for chunked text with emphasis. All data stays on your device—no cloud sync or account required.
The app is designed around reducing friction between opening a book and reading it. Features include a local library with bookmarks and progress tracking, six reading themes, full-screen focus mode, and granular controls over pacing, typography, and brightness. Kairo is free to use and open source.
