hugpoint

hugpoint helps groups find an equitable meetup location by analyzing each person's travel time and reachability. Users enter starting points for all attendees, set individual transport modes (walking, cycling, driving, or public transit), and filter by venue type and price. The tool uses real transit data to calculate isochrones—actual reachable zones—rather than straight-line distance, then identifies overlapping areas and ranks venues by a Fairness Score that reflects how equally accessible each option is for the entire group.

Designed for anyone coordinating group outings, the app requires no account or payment and works entirely in the browser. Search results are shareable via URL. The creator built it entirely with AI coding tools as a non-technical founder.
