Hindsight
Agent memory system that helps AI agents learn and retain context over time
Visit hindsight.vectorize.io ↗What is Hindsight?
Hindsight is a memory system designed for AI agents to maintain and consolidate knowledge across sessions. Rather than starting each conversation from scratch, agents using Hindsight can recall past interactions, understand temporal relationships, connect disparate facts, and apply learned preferences to future tasks. The system addresses limitations of simpler approaches like vector search and knowledge graphs through three core operations: retain (store information), recall (retrieve relevant memories), and reflect (consolidate knowledge into observations and mental models).
The platform supports multiple AI coding agents including Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Cline, and others, with client libraries for Python, TypeScript, Go, and CLI. Hindsight can be deployed via cloud hosting, Docker, Kubernetes, or as an embedded Python library, and integrates with frameworks like LangChain and CrewAI. The project is built with Claude Code and published as open-source under the MIT license.
