GIF Control
Browser extension that stops animated images from autoplaying
Visit neonglow.studio ↗What is GIF Control?
GIF Control is a browser extension that prevents animated images from playing automatically in your browser. Instead of constant motion, you see the first frame and control when playback starts with a simple play/stop button on each image. This reduces distractions and unexpected motion while browsing. The extension works across Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera.
Designed for anyone tired of unwanted animations interrupting their browsing experience, GIF Control puts you in charge of when and what you watch. The maker, a UX and product designer, built it using Codex and documented the development process in a video.
