Genie
Orchestration layer that coordinates multiple AI coding agents in parallel
Visit docs.automagik.dev ↗What is Genie?
Genie is a planning-and-execution system designed to solve the coordination problem when multiple AI agents work on the same codebase. Instead of manually copying context between separate agent sessions, you describe your goal once, and Genie interviews you into a detailed plan, spawns agents in isolated worktrees to work simultaneously, and reviews their output against acceptance criteria before merging.
The tool is lightweight and self-contained: it stores state in a single SQLite file per repository, uses plain-markdown documents in git for configuration, and requires no background services. Built with Claude Code, Genie runs as a CLI that opens the database, executes one transaction, and exits. It's stable on Linux and macOS.
