EdgeCrab is a SuperAgent—a personal assistant and coding tool written in Rust that combines autonomous reasoning with always-on presence across messaging platforms. It runs as a single native binary with no Python or Node.js runtime dependencies, offering 56 core tools, support for 24 LLM providers, and 17 messaging gateways including Telegram, Discord, Slack, and WhatsApp.
The tool features a high-performance terminal UI built with ratatui, a ReAct loop for autonomous reasoning up to 90 iterations, sandboxed code execution, and sub-agent delegation. Users can hot-swap between LLM providers mid-session and run prompts through multiple models in parallel. Installation is available via npm, pip, cargo, Docker, or native binaries for Linux, macOS, and Android.
