Airut
Run Claude Code tasks from email and Slack in isolated containers
Visit airut.org ↗What is Airut?
Airut is a self-hosted, open-source platform that executes Claude Code instructions received via email or Slack threads. Each task runs in a dedicated, isolated container with network allowlisting, credential masking, and automatic cleanup. Users describe work in plain language, review pull requests, and iterate—all without managing terminals or custom clients.
Designed for developers adopting agent-first workflows, Airut combines defense-in-depth sandboxing with conversation persistence. Network traffic routes through a proxy that enforces per-repository allowlists and swaps surrogate credentials for real ones, limiting blast radius if an agent is compromised. The creator reports developing large projects almost entirely through this email-based interface, from task assignment to PR review.
